Making Your Own Personalized Christmas Ornaments
Christmas is here, along with all the hustle and
bustle it entails. One main pre-Christmas activity would surely be
to do up the house. Doing your Personalized Christmas Ornaments
over buying commercial off-the-shelf decorations will not only save
you money, you will have a great sense of satisfaction when you see
the little culminations of your hard work adorning the house. Here
are some idiot-proof ornaments you could make to welcome the
festive season.
Firstly, you could make a collage. Pick out
pretty family pictures and place them on a corkboard. Make a blood
red and fir green coloured border using anything from strips of
felt, sequins, ribbons to colored paper. The cheesy part comes when
you draw speech bubbles from people in the photographs. In the
bubbles, write Christmas wishes for the most precious people in the
world. Right on top, you could stick on a sprig of holly and a cute
golden bell to add to the Christmas spirit!
Candles not only add ambience to your house.
Thankfully, they are also wonderfully easy to make. You require
coloured candles, baking moulds in the shape of alphabets and a
sheet of paper to go between the table and the mould. Light up one
candle and let the wax drip into the mould. Ensure that the level
of wax is even before moving on to the next colour. Continue
alternating between the colours until you reach the top of the
mould. A gentle reminder would be to put in the wick before the
first layer of wax has hardened. Put the completed candle in
glasses or saucers cut out of tins cans to hold the wax when it is
being burnt. This becomes a personalized Christmas ornament when
you form the candles as different letters for each member of your
family.
If you do not wish to go through the hassle of
making your own candles, you could simply use tea lights. To make
the simplest personalized Christmas ornaments, you can simply use
fabric paints to write names on tinted glasses for each family
member. After which, pop in the tea lights to have your home
illuminated with different coloured lights. To make your home even
more cosy, get everyone a Christmas sock and stitch on their
respective names. However, it would not look nice to have empty
socks no matter how pretty it has been decorated, would it? Thus,
throw in candy canes, heart shaped cushions and sweets for a
pleasant surprise for everyone.
Personally, the cutest Personalized Christmas
Ornament I have seen is the Christmas Photo Glass Ball Ornament.
Instead of having regular plain coloured glass balls, you can make
these exclusive by having any picture or text in any colour printed
on them. It would be absolutely memorable should your Christmas
tree be adorned with glass balls holding a picture of each family
member. However, these will come at a heftier price and I do not
think they can be found easily so do check out his website.

If you are unable to find decorations that suit
your liking and you do have some time on your hands, why not try
out the suggested personalized Christmas ornaments? You could get
your family to help out. Decorating your house with ornaments that
represents everyone will give them a sense of ownership and bond
them in the process. So what are you waiting for? Gather your
family, grab your materials and start working! Have a Merry
Christmas!
